The “Voice of Valor” is the “Main Event Voice” that sports fans in the DMV have become accustomed to over the last several years.
Shawn Parker is a lifelong resident of Prince George's County, graduating from Suitland High School and the University of Maryland at College Park.  He comes to the Valor with play-by-play experience in basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball,swimming and hockey.   Shawn has been behind the microphone for the DeMatha High School Hoops Festival, DeMatha’s annual basketball showcase tournament, eight Maryland State Girls’ Basketball Championship games as well as statechampionship contests in Virginia and the District of Columbia on the National Federation of High School’s NFHS Network.

Shawn is also an accomplished public address announcer, certified by the National Association of Sports Public Address Announcers (NASPAA).  Shawn serves as a multi-sport PA announcer at The George Washington University and for the Women’s Football Alliance’s 2015 National Champion D.C. Divas, Washington, D.C.’s women’s professional football team.  He has also worked the 2015 World Police and Fire Games, hosted in Fairfax, Virginia, as a hockey PA announcer in their Herndon, Virginia venue and the 2016 USA Hockey High School National Championships, also in Herndon.

Shawn has also stepped in to the ring as a boxing ring announcer working venues such as the Washington Convention Center and sharing the ring with local champions Tony “Mo’ Better” Jeter, Mike “Yes Indeed” Reed and Dusty Hernandez-Harrison.

Call him the “Main Event Voice”, the “Voice of Valor” or just Shawn Parker, he’ll call it like he sees it.  And you will love what you hear.
