Daryl A. Greene
Born in Largo MD,
April 16,1980
Daryl started playing the game of basketball at the early age of five years old. He was taught the toughness and fundamentals of the game of basketball by his two older brothers(5 and 6 years older). He would go to parks and play with them and their friends and would do so well his brothers were impressed and spent more time teaching him the game and working on his skills. By the age of 9 he was playing boys and girls club with kids 2 years older than him. He really excelled and went on to play high school basketball at DeMatha Catholic High School for legendary coach Morgan Wooten where he was team captain his senior year for his leadership both on and off the court as well as his toughness and unselfish team first attitude.
He then went on to play at Niagara University where he quickly became a fan and coaches favorite. He was once again named team captain and starter his Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. Daryl had a great career at Niagara and finished his career in the top 10 of 7 different categories for his career. His greatest achievement was being inducted into the Niagara University Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002. After graduating from Niagara University with a degree in business management in 2002,
Daryl went on to play as a professional overseas from 2002-2010 in countries such as Holland, Finland, Belgium and Poland. This to Daryl showed what Faith, hard work, sacrifice and dedication can do. Nothing came easy to him and he wouldn't have wanted it any other way than to work for it! He finished his career and retired in 2010.
After retiring Daryl started his own basketball training business "Prime Athletics" where he began training kids and young men from ages 5(when he first started) to professionals. He has taken his unwavering love and passion for the game and helps to instill the same to the people he trains. Daryl says there is no better satisfaction than making a difference in others lives and helping them become better and achieve their dreams and goals! He believe all of his lifes success and achievements have come because of his strong relationship with God and his Faith. One of Daryl's favorite quotes is "with God all things are possible". Daryl's Faith and desire to help others has led him to be a mentor and big brother to many helping to shape and change the lives of others which to him is much more exciting than any basket he has ever scored. On July 7, 2007 Daryl married his wife Nicole Greene and they now have 3 children Wisdom(age 5), Daryl Jr(age 3), and Legend(age 1) all whom he believes are the greatest accomplishment and blessing of his life.
