Our Story Our History

The journey of the PG Brave Semi-Pro Football Team began as a thought in an unexpected moment in 2025. LaDonna M. Smith, the visionary owner of PG Valor Sports, LLC, was in a rideshare vehicle when a conversation with her driver, John, sparked a life-changing idea. As they discussed sports, LaDonna discovered that John not only had experience in coaching semi-pro football but also shared a passion for building a new team. After hearing LaDonna’s interest in creating a semi-pro football team, John connected her with a colleague of his, who had been considering starting a team himself despite his long coaching history.
That night, the colleague reached out to LaDonna, but she was unavailable to take his call. The following day, they spoke, and their conversation ignited a passion for the venture. LaDonna immediately began researching what it would take to launch the team. She encountered both encouraging responses and some reluctance, but her determination only grew stronger. Turning to the internet for guidance, she found helpful resources and advice that would help bring her vision to life.

As winter break continued and schools were closed for extended snow days, LaDonna kept the momentum going, holding conversations with coaches and refining her plans. While navigating the process, she submitted a contact form to a football league for further information. When she didn't hear back right away, she didn’t let that discourage her. Instead, LaDonna was persistent and, soon enough, the league’s president reached out. A few hours later, the League’s Commissioner called as well.

After sending in the team’s logo and name, LaDonna was officially invited to attend the league meeting. It was at that meeting that the PG Brave Semi-Pro Football Team began to take shape, and the rest, as they say, is history.

What started as a conversation in a rideshare car turned into a thriving team, built on passion, persistence, and a shared love for the game. Today, the PG Brave team stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and the unexpected connections that shape our future.
